Resumes are the cornerstone to finding a job. A good resume will
wow employers and get you an interview with the best companies. However,
some students are not aware of the common mistakes they make when they
create their resumes. That will all change with a new, free service from
the City University of New York, and the Institute for Virtual
Enterprise.
Some resume service companies charge hundreds of dollars to evaluate
your resume. However, Dr. Resume is a new, free service offered to
students enrolled in CUNY's Institute for Virtual Enterprise educational
programs. The service provides resume advice for all students who submit
their resumes here.
Using the service is easy. All you have to do is: First, create
your resume using Microsoft Word or, if you are using a different word
processor, save your resume in rich text format. Then, using the above
link, submit your resume, and your work is done.
Dr. Resume will then review your resume and make comments for
improvements. In 3 to 5 days you will receive an email back from Dr.
Resume indicating his ideas for changes. It is up to you as to whether
you wish to change the resume or not. After all, Dr. Resume can prescribe
the medicine, but he can't make you take it.
Give it a try. Submit your
resume to Dr. Resume now! |
