IVE Collaborative Conference, March 28 |
The goal/mission of the IVE Global Collaborative is to foster global awareness through teaching students financial literacy in the areas of corporate and personal finance using the features of the IVE MarketMaker. Currently there are 500 students participating in the IVE Stock Market Competition representing colleges and high schools from all over the Unites States to as far as Austria, India and China. To celebrate this success and to provide students from all over the world with the possibility to interact and work together in teams, IVE will host its First Annual IVE Collaborative Conference at Kingsborough Community College, CUNY on March 28, 2007. Participating students will be engaged in the following activities:
1. Interact and with students from all over the world. 2. Work in ixed student teams (students will be randomly assigned to teams). 3. Receive insights and coaching from business experts. 4. Develop a virtual business idea. 5. Develop a website and online store using the IVE MarketMaker (www.ivefinancial.com). 6. Present their website and business ideas to a jury using PowerPoint. 7. The best business ideas and presentations will receive awards and prizes. 8. Every student will receive a certificate of participation.

Please confirm your students attendance and if you require transportation from Manhattan to Brooklyn by sending and email to Christoph Winkler at cwinkler@kbcc.cuny.edu or call 718.368.4637 no later thank March 21, 2007. In your confirmation, please include the number of students so that we can order the right amount of lunches. Refreshments and lunch will be provided!
