Virtual Trading Day @ KCC & RSC

On May 23rd, 2007 student firms from Kingsborough Community College (KCC) in Brooklyn, NY and Rhodes State College (RSC) in Lima, OH conducted a Video Conference to present their virtual enterprises and MarketMaker stores. Following these sales presentations was a trading day component where the students put up their sales booths to promote their companies and had “onsite visitors” purchase their goods and services. The event was a first of its kind in this format and excited over 100 students on both sides. Highlights of the day were student made VE commercials that were premiered during the sales presentations and food that was prepared by KCC’s own VE CaterAir. Les Finley from RSC and Stuart Schulman from KCC were delighted about the quality of the presentations and the enthusiasm during the actual trading. IVE is looking forward to organize similar events in the future. For information and details, please contact IVE Associate Director Christoph Winkler at cwinkler@kbcc.cuny.edu
