  IVE goes Wiki

In the November issue of CUNY Matters, the Institute for Virtual Enterprise was featured as being one of the forward-thinking CUNY programs that incorporates the use of wikis as a viable tool for students. Wikis allow multiple users to collaborate on online projects with a level of flexibility and independence that benefits the nontraditional CUNY student. Associate Director Christoph Winkler was quoted as saying “The wiki allows students to collaborate without having to meet in person . . . but also lets them edit at 3 o’clock in the morning.”By using wikis to edit, discuss, and create business plans and documents asynchronously, students who may participate in collaborative work without sacrificing hours meeting with group members.
