Nurture New York's Nature

Nurture New York's Nature, Inc. (NNYN), a not-for-profit organization represented by Theodore W. Kheel,has identified their mission as creating public awareness of the importance of nurturing New *s nature and supporting the arts for their power to advance that goal to advance this initiative, NNYN has embarked on a series of activities including: A book by David Rosane entitled The Nature of New York, as well as a children's version entitled Go Wild: A Get-Active Guide to the Natural Side of City-Living. NNYN is also the beneficiary of a unique license donated by the artists Christo and Jeanne-Claude's to use their intellectual property related to the Gates Project for Central Park, commencing February, 2005 with all proceeds " benefit the arts and the health and well being of the City's inhabitants".

Consistent with these goals the NNYN has partnered with the City University of New York (CUNY), and its Institute for Virtual Enterprise (IVE) to develop and implement a program to serve the more than 400,000 students served by CUNY. The program will also reach out to New York City High School Students through CUNY's College Now program.
