  The IVE MarketMaker: IVE's Virtual Wall Street

IVE held its first Virtual Stock Market Conference at Kingsborough Community College (KCC) on Wednesday, April 5th, 2006. Students from California, Austria, Denmark, Hong Kong, and KCC presented, both online and face-to-face, their virtual stock portfolios and talked about their experiences as being part of a four month Stock Market Competition. Within these four months 84 students and 15 companies made almost a thousand transactions and traded a total value of shares of $ 61,157.

The winners of the company competition were:

1.  D.O.N.S. Net Caf (Santa Barbara High School, California)
    (Net Gain of >300%!!!!)

2.  x-tremeAdventures (Kingsborough Community College, NY)
    (Net Gain of $ 6318.28)

3.  Ice (Randers Business College, Denmark)
    (Net Gain of $ 2314.00)

The winners of the student competition were:

1.  Janay Starling (1 Stop Shop, California)
    (Net Gain of $ 8,957.15)

2.  Logan Johnson (Universal Connections, California)
    (Net Gain of $ 7,192.00)

3.  Brenna Low (D.O.N.S. Net Caf, California))
    (Net Gain of $ 6,350.58)
