  infiniit Entertainment wins Leadership Finals

On May 31st, 2006 twelve out of a cohort of 20 leadership teams presented their (social) entrepreneurial ventures and community service projects to a group of peers, CUNY faculty and administrators, business partners, as well as, families and friends.

The audience witnessed a series of high quality projects that ranged from community development in the Caribbean to a local public transportation website. Since the start of this years iteration of the program in late January, most projects have already been implemented in one way or another and reflect the passion and diversity of CUNY. Dean Harry Franklin, Univ. Ass. Dean of Student Affairs, was proud to itness the creativity and enthusiasm of our students. He also assured his continued support of the growing program that just concluded its fourth and most successful year.

The moderator of the evening was IVE Fellow Marvin M. Williams who guided both students and audience through an evening of great leadership and inspiring presentations. The student projects and performances were evaluated and assessed by a jury which was comprised of Eddie Bergman (Miracle Corners of the World), Richard Levit (IVE Consultant), Tsedale M. Melaku (Torys LLP), and Timothy Chen (BonusMe.com). t was a close race, said Christoph Winkler, Program Director, before the winners were announced:

1st place: infiniit Entertainment (Queens College, and Queensborough College)
2nd place: Transit Quest (Baruch College)
3rd place: Regan Hartman Design (Baruch College)

Each member of the winning teams received the following amount in Barnes and Nobles gift cards: $150 (1st place), $100 (2nd place), and $50 (3rd place).

All teams, regardless of their placement in the competition, will be offered to apply for funding and continue their work throughout the summer as part of the CUNY IVE Leadership Incubator.

IVE, under the leadership of Director Dr. Stuart Schulman, wants to congratulate all teams for their accomplishments and is looking forward to an exciting summer.
